You're getting married! I want you to have the best day possible, so here are some tips to help. As you plan, keep these tips in mind to avoid unnecessary headaches.

Wedding days require planning, research, and organization. They are an exciting celebration, and with that comes stress, last-minute plans, and a ridiculously large amount of things that have to happen in a small amount of time. The tips below will be extremely helpful for you while you plan.

DELEGATE, DELEGATE, DELEGATE

Let it go! When the wedding day comes, it's time for you to stop planning and be a bride. You need to delegate a point person for questions and last-minute tasks. Whether that's a planner, day of coordinator, or your maid-of-honor, someone that isn't you needs to take care of things that pop up.

HAND YOUR PHONE OFF

I know this is hard to do, but you need to be present. Whatever is happening on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook is not important. You marrying the love of your life is important. You don't need to be stressed about people arriving late, vendors getting lost, or whatever can go wrong. Put a bridesmaid on selfie duty and remember that it is my job to capture the important moments. Your wedding day goes by fast, so enjoy it!

TOUCH BASE WITH VENDORS

Make sure vendors have everything they need from you so you. Communication is key to a successful wedding day. If you don’t have a planner to do this for you, have the MOH, a sibling, or parent help you with this.

CREATE A TIMELINE WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

One of the most critical pieces of your wedding day is the timeline. A timeline will help allot enough time for the things that are important to you. To be able to squeeze everything in, you need a game plan.

DO A HAIR AND MAKEUP TRIAL

Yes this could cost extra money, but you need to know if hair and makeup will take double the time that you thought. You can't get that time back, and the whole day will be off if you don't schedule enough time. Also, you want to make sure that your makeup will stay through tears and sweat. If you are doing your own hair and makeup, schedule a day to do this with all of your bridesmaids. Turn it into a fun hang-out day with drinks, snacks, and face masks!

PLAN TIME TO EAT

No one wants to be a hangry bride. You don't want spend the day on a stomach with no food and too much coffee or champagne. Tending to a fainted bridesmaid or groom will not be fun. Eat and hydrate!
